The AFL Barwon Tribunal will be asked to deliberate on whether there was anything untoward in a tackle that left Leopold’s Jay Dahlhaus with a lacerated liver.
The Match Review Panel has cited Grovedale’s Leigh Ellis for rough conduct during the second quarter of the Tigers’ win at Memorial Park on Saturday.
As K rock Football revealed on Monday, Werribee-listed Dahlhaus spent a night in hospital and is facing an extended stint on the sidelines.
Ellis will appear before the tribunal tomorrow night.
Also facing the tribunal is a Grovedale under-14 Schulze coach Travis Walder.
He’s been reported for behaving in an abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene manner towards or in relation to an umpire over an alleged incident in the final term of the Tigers’ clash with Barwon Heads Davis at Howard Harmer Oval on Sunday.
In other cases assessed by the Match Review Panel;
- Grovedale spearhead Tom Gillett has escaped sanction for an alleged strike on Leopold captain Mitch Burgess during the third quarter of the clash at Memorial Park, with the incident not captured on footage.
- Winchelsea captain Jordan Huff has accepted a two-match ban after lodging an early guilty plea for rough conduct on Bell Post Hill’s Will Kerrins during a final term of the Blues’ loss at Myers Reserve.
- Huff’s teammate Adam Walsh had no case to answer for an alleged incident with Panther Lachie Wilso.n
- Corio’s Isiah Bigham has been offered a reprimand after being reported for using abusive, insulting or obscene language towards multiple Thomson players.
- And there was no footage to determine which player made contact with experienced umpire David Chaston during the third quarter of the Werribee Centrals-North Geelong clash at Galvin Park.
