Cats: At Selection – Gather Round

Mark Blicavs will celebrate his 300th AFL game in next week’s clash against the Western Bulldogs after being managed by Geelong out of Sunday’s Gather Round meeting with West Coast.

It means the Cats will make at least one change, with veteran Jake Kolodjashnij, who last played at AFL level in the 2024 preliminary final, among the four inclusions to an extended interchange bench.

Managed out of the Easter Monday loss to Hawthorn, Mark O’Connor looks set to return, while hoping for promotion from the VFL are James Worpel and Mitch Knevitt.

If Worpel plays, it will be his 150th AFL appearance after 148 games with Hawthorn.

The Eagles have managed veteran forward Jamie Cripps.

Final teams will be confirmed on Friday afternoon.
