Geelong has dropped Jhye Clark for the Easter Monday blockbuster with Hawthorn despite the first-round draft pick’s contribution in the Round 3 win over Adelaide.

The Cats will announce their team for the clash with the Hawks tomorrow (Sunday).

However, Clark has been selected in VFL team playing against Werribee today.

Brad Close, who was dropped for the first time in his career for the Crows clash, Jack Bowes and forgotten defender Jake Kolodjashnij are listed as VFL outs, meaning they’ll be part of the 26-man squad for Monday.

Former Hawk James Worpel, who sits on 149 career games, won’t get the chance to reach a milestone against his former team, after again being named in the VFL.

Geelong is unbeaten after two rounds of the VFL season after impressive wins over Essendon and the Box Hill Hawks.

Along with Clark, Bell Park’s Kobe George, Leopold’s Will Sheahan and South Barwon’s Tom Peirce are among the inclusions.
