GEELONG is facing the challenging prospect of facing Melbourne off a five-day break following the release of the latest block of fixtures by the AFL.
Rounds 16-19 have been confirmed, with the Cats to host North Melbourne on the night of Saturday, July 2, before a quick turnaround into a meeting with the currently unbeaten reigning premier on Thursday, July 7.
It will be Geelong’s first GMHBA Stadium Thursday night game since beating Port Adelaide in a thriller in Round 10, 2017.
The Cats will then get a nine-day break before a night MCG meeting with finals-bounced Carlton on Saturday, July 16.
They travel to Adelaide Oval on Saturday, July 23, for a twilight clash with Port Adelaide.
