Ahead of its second practice match against North Melbourne tomorrow, Geelong has lodged its VFL list for the 2026 season.
The Cats, who will again be coached by Mark Corrigan, have nominated 13 players for their primary list and 14 for their development list.
Geelong has also listed experienced Geelong league player Ethan Liddle, who crossed from Geelong West to Colac in the off-season.
Newcomers to the primary list include talented Bell Park youngster Zac Mirkovic and two-time South Warrnambool premiership player Jed Henderson, who will be aligned to Geelong league club Leopold.
Fresh faces on the development list include St Joseph’s duo James Hose, who played two games with Sydney’s VFL team last year, and James Jovanovic, Charley Green from Bellarine club Geelong Amateur, Ben Pennisi (Newtown & Chilwell), Zach Stevens (South Barwon) and Mason Williams (Leopold).
After facing North Melbourne tomorrow, the Cats will round out their preparation for the new season with a practice match against Collingwood at Deakin University next Saturday.
Geelong opens its season with a night game against Essendon at GHMBA Stadium on Friday, March 20.
