Geelong fans will get a third chance to watch the club’s AFL and VFL teams on the same day at GMHBA Stadium in 2026.
The Cats’ VFL clash with Sydney in Round 9 (Saturday, May 23) is now a curtain raiser to the AFL clash against the Swans.
The early match will bounce at 12:05pm

Mark Corrigan’s men also have curtain raisers against Footscray in Round 4 (Friday, April 17) and North Melbourne in Round 6 (Saturday, May 2).
Geelong will continue its preparation for the VFL season with a practice match against the Kangaroos at Arden Street on Saturday.
The Cats will face Collingwood at Deakin University on Saturday, March 14, before starting their campaign with a Friday night clash against Essendon at GMHBA Stadium on March 20.
