GEELONG has named all five of its 2020 draftees for its lone practice match against Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.
Darcy Moloney, Laura Gardiner, Olivia Barber, Stephanie Williams and Carley Remmos will all get the chance to stake their claim for a spot in the Round 1 clash against North Melbourne on January 29.
The Cats have named a 26-woman squad for the match-up with the Demons, with uncapped 2019 draftees Mia Skinner and Nicole Garner also given an opportunity to put their hands up to take on the Kangaroos.
Star midfielder Nina Morrison wasn’t considered as she continues her rehabilitation from a second knee reconstruction.
Experienced duo Danni Higgins and Maddy McMahon have been managed after the club says they both received knocks in last week’s intraclub.
Madi Maguire will also be missing with a leg issue.
Saturday’s match is closed to the public.
