GEELONG has been handed a dream start to the 2022 VFLW season, with six consecutive homes games.

The Cats, who missed out on playing in last year’s grand final against Collingwood due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, commence their campaign against Carlton on the weekend of February 12-13.

They then face Hawthorn, Port Melbourne, Southern Saints, Casey Demons and Essendon in Geelong before heading to Melbourne for the first time in Round 7 for a clash with the Western Bulldogs.

The Cats last home game is against the Magpies in Round 8 before six consecutive away matches to round out the season.

Geelong faces Collingwood, Port Melbourne and the Casey Demons twice.

Andrew Bruce will again guide the fortunes of the Cats, who provided three new faces to the club’s AFLW list in the off-season; Ruck Liv Fuller, defender Annabel Johnson and forward Claudia Gunjaca.
