Geelong hasn’t sat on its hands waiting for Connor O’Sullivan to come out of contract after signing the emerging defender to a two-year extension.
The 20-year-old was locked away until the end of 2026, but this new deal keeps him in the Hoops until at least the conclusion of the 2028 season.
The Cats’ first pick (No.11 overall) in the 2023 National Draft, O’Sullivan has become a crucial part of the club’s defensive unit this year.
“Connor is a promising young player who’s already shown he belongs at the AFL level,” Geelong football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“He’s a great character, a hard worker, and we are excited to see him continue to develop alongside the core group of young players that have signed on long term.”
After making the lone AFL appearance during his first season on the list, the 20-year-old Albury product has played all games bar one in 2025.
He received the AFL’s Rising Star nomination in Round 2.
