Geelong has maintained its streamlined on-field leadership team heading into the 2026 AFL season.
For a fourth consecutive year, Patrick Dangerfield will captain the Cats, with Tom Stewart again his deputy.
Stewart was first a vice-captain in 2022, alongside Dangerfield, in what was Joel Selwood’s final season.
“We are fortunate as a club to have the leadership impact of Patrick and Tom,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“Their pivotal presence within the playing group speaks for itself, not just in performance, but in the way they care for and support their teammates.
“We’re excited to have them guiding the Cats again into 2026.”
Geelong will continue its preparation for the new season against Carlton tomorrow (Wednesday) night before travelling to the Gold Coast next Friday (March 6) for an Opening Round meeting with the Suns.
