GEELONG has confirmed the debut of 2020 draft pick Darcy Moloney with its team’s release for Sunday’s season-opening clash with North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium.
The 18-year-old Colac Imperials product is the only newcomer named for the Cats, with 2019 draftee Nicole Garner one of the two emergencies alongside Bec Goring.
Nina Morrison (knee) and Mia Skinner (hamstring) were the only players who couldn’t be considered.
Moloney’s fellow draftees Laura Gardiner, Stephane Williams, Olivia Barber and Carley Remmos, and Madi Maguire are set to play in Geelong’s VFLW practice match against North Melbourne at Deakin Uni on Sunday morning.
