GEELONG’S hopes of avoiding the wooden spoon have been boosted by the inclusion of vice-captain Jordan Ivey for Saturday’s clash with Gold Coast.
Ivey missed last week’s loss to the GWS Giants with a foot issue.
She returns along with Georgie Rankin, who was forced to sit out the Giants clash after suffering a concussion in the loss to West Coast on March 14.
They replace Denby Taylor, whose season was ended a week early after suffering a shoulder injury last week.
Bec Goring is unavailable due to work commitments.
Coach Paul Hood was left with only 24 players to pick from, with Nina Morrison, Olivia Purcell, Millie Brown and Mia Skinner also sidelined.
The clash with the Suns is part of an AFLW/AFL double-header, with the men’s match between Gold Coast and North Melbourne to follow.
