GEELONG has made four changes – two of them forced – for its Round 2 clash with the Brisbane Lions at GMHBA Stadium.
Jack Henry and Zach Tuohy have been included after playing in the VFL last week, Round 1 medical substitute Charlie Constable is part of the twenty-two, and Francis Evans will make his debut.
They replace suspended star Patrick Dangerfield, injured fellow midfielder Sam Menegola, and omitted duo Zach Guthrie and Josh Jenkins.
However, Guthrie or Jenkins may earn a reprieve as the medical sub, joining Quinton Narkle and 2020 draftee Max Holmes as the emergencies.
Defender Mark Blicavs is confident the Cats will bounce back quickly from their disappointing 12-point loss to 2020 wooden spooner Adelaide.
“What we’re really good at is responding to that,” he said. “Adelaide, to their credit, were able to get us around the ball and make the most of their forward 50 entries.
“I don’t think we were able to deliver it to ‘Hawk’ (Tom Hawkins) and our forwards the way we wanted to.
“We’ve had a great week on the training track, and it’s exciting.
“It’s only a six-day break, which is good. You don’t think about it too much.
“You’ve just got to prep for Brisbane, and you get a chance to go again and improve.”
K rock is live from 6pm Friday on FM 95.5 across Geelong and the Surf Coast, and via AFL.com.au or the AFL app.
