GEELONG has made a season-low three changes to its VFL team ahead of Sunday’s clash with the GWS Giants at GMHBA Stadium.
AFL-listed midfielder Quinton Narkle has been named for the Cats along with Leopold-aligned Tom Feely and debutant Jack Leonard.
Leonard gets his opportunity after impressing with Geelong league club North Shore, including a 38-disposal performance in last week’s win over St Albans.
A Newtown & Chilwell junior, he spent 2021 in the Bellarine league with Queenscliff.
Flynn Kroeger, who suffered a broken wrist in his VFL debut last week, St Mary’s forward Charlie Sprague and Modewarre defender Darby Schilder have gone out of the team that defeated the Northern Bullants.

All four AFL emergencies – Narkle, Luke Dahlhaus, Mitch Knevitt and the uncapped Shannon Neale – have been named in Shane O’Bree’s team.
However, it’s unlikely all four will play against the Giants, with one to be the medi-sub for Geelong’s clash with Adelaide on Saturday.
A win for Geelong will see it climb into the top eight and keep alive its double-chance hopes as the season approaches its halfway mark.
