GEELONG has made six changes – four forced – as it looks to snap a two-game VFLW losing streak when it meets Essendon at Deakin University on Sunday.
After a competition-wide bye, the Cats will welcome back midfielder Laura Gardiner and ruck Liv Fuller from AFLW duty, Stephanie Williams, Maddie Boyd, Chloe Leonard, and captain Bree Beckley for the clash with the undefeated Bombers.
Health and safety protocols will see Geelong without forward duo Claudia Gunjaca and Sachi DeGiacomi, Carly Remmos is injured, Mel Bragg is unavailable, and Brooke Wells and Lujeyn Al-Huneidi have been dropped.
In what is their penultimate home game of the season, a win for the Cats will keep them in touch with the top two.
However, a loss will dent their double-chance hopes and leave them vulnerable to falling out of the top six.
