Geelong locals are currently being randomly selected for a survey on our preventative health services.
The survey, run by Geelong council, will focus on how the region handles the health of the region.
It will focus on issues such as mental health and alcohol consumption.
Deputy Mayor Anthony Aitken said it was essential for future planning to get the best information from the community.
“It’s really important that we identify the issues that residents are facing when it comes to topics like healthy eating, feeling connected and satisfaction with life,” he said.
“This evidence-based approach could help us understand how we can respond to the high rates of chronic disease and high-risk health behaviours in our suburbs.
“It will also show disparities in health status and behaviours across different suburbs across the municipality.”
Council added that all responses will be de-identified to protect privacy.
