Geelong Amateur will be without Mitch Day for its first final after the veteran forward accepted a two-match suspension for an incident during Saturday’s win over Portarlington at KFC Oval.

Day was cited for two incidents by AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel, with a report for striking Demon Brayden Pool drawing the ban that will rule him out of this week’s final-round meeting against Surf Coast and the qualifying final clash with Torquay.

He accepted a reprimand for rough conduct after dropping his knee into the back of Portarlington defender Kelly Pickard moments before striking Poole.
