Queenscliff’s dominance in the home-and-away season has been reflected in the Bellarine Coaches’ Team of the Year.
The Coutas, who posted a 16-2 win-loss record and will face Torquay in Saturday’s grand final, have had six players named, including star recruits Nick Rippon and Jaydo Wright.
Heath Jamieson received the nod as coach, giving him a rare double; he’s been named coach of the team of the year in the BFNL and the GFNL.
The rest of the selections were spread across the remaining finalists and those who just missed out.
Torquay and Anglesea each had three representatives; Barwon Heads, Drysdale, Newcomb, and Geelong Amateur had two; and Portarlington and Modewarre had one apiece.
12 members of last year’s team held their spots.
Rippon, Wright, and Queenscliff teammates Jordan Monahan and Izaac Grant; Geelong Amateur captain Dan Weigl; East Geelong-bound Drysdale defender Jack Jenkins; and Newcomb star Logan Wagener have been selected for the first time.
