Less than a month after making his return from a serious knee injury, Lucas Anderson is set for another couple of weeks on the sidelines.
The Torquay spearhead suffered a head knock in the win over Anglesea before the bye and has entered the 21-day concussion protocol.
However, the Tigers have confirmed to K rock Football that they will take a conservative approach with Anderson, and he will miss Saturday’s meeting with Modewarre at Mt Moriac and next week’s match-up at McCartney Oval.
The two-time Bellarine leading goalkicker made a triumphant return from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament suffered early in the 2024 season against Portarlington, kicking three goals.
Anderson is likely to return for the blockbuster meeting with premiership favourites Geelong Amateur in Round 16.
Torquay, which has climbed to second on the ladder thanks to five consecutive wins, has named Geelong VFL midfielder Paddy Hughes and Geelong Falcons duo Van Rahilly and Hamish McGowan on an extended bench for the meeting with the Warriors.
