Barwon Heads is facing the prospect of being without recruit Mitch Jensen for Saturday’s clash with the unbeaten Queenscliff after he was offered a suspension by AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel.
The Footscray VFL premiership player, who arrived at Howard Hamer Oval from Wedderburn ahead of the 2026 season, has been reported for striking Geelong Amateur’s Xavier Muhor during the third quarter of Friday night’s loss.
The MRP assessed the incident as intentional, low-impact, and high-contact, resulting in a two-match suspension.
However, Jensen can accept a one-match ban if he lodges an early guilty plea.
In the GFNL, Geelong West’s Jay Kaltenbach escaped being charged after being scrutinised for rough conduct on St Albans’ Ethan Guida during the third quarter of the Giants’ 13-point win at Scaada Stadium.
And in the GDFNL, no charges were laid following melees in the third and fourth terms of the Werribe Centrals-Bell Post Hill match-up at Symal Oval.
The MRP looked into claims that Centurion Kai Gomes Pattiyage was on the receiving end of a headbutt.
However, with the alleged incident not captured on video, no charge was laid.
