The loyalty of Belmont Lions stalwart Adam Beath has been rewarded with a narrow win in the Ivan Tansing Medal.
Beath, who has played all of his football with the Winter Reserve-based club, polled 16 votes to claim a tight count from North Geelong veteran Luke Parker on 14.
Lions teammate Sam Jones polled 13 votes from just nine games to round out the top three.
A veteran of 89 senior games at the Lions, Beath will be a key player when they chase a first reserve grade grand final berth since the 1994 Division 2 decider this week.
The Lions will face Werribee Centrals in the second semi-final ahead of the club’s senior team taking on East Geelong.
