North Geelong star Osca Riccardi hasn’t ruled out seeing out the year with the reigning GDFNL premier despite having a contract with WAFL club Peel Thunder.
The former Geelong rookie has played the opening three rounds with the Magpies after returning home to rehab a hamstring issue.
The Thunder gave the 21-year-old the green light to appear with North, which could become a permanent arrangement for the remainder of 2026.
“I was over there for a month last year… and then was lucky enough to train with the Peel Thunder squad,” Riccardi told K rock’s Beyond the Boundary podcast.
“They offered me a contract over there. (I) went back over early Jan(uary) and just couldn’t really find my feet over there personally. (I) struggled to find a job
“So we’re still working through a lot of it. So, you know, I could still be heading over there, hopefully soon.
“But at the minute, yeah, we’re just working through a few personal things, and then we’re going on from there.”
