North Shore has received a massive boost ahead of its GFNL season-opener against Newtown & Chilwell, with ruckman Kobe Annand named for his first game with the club since 2022.

Annand spent last year helping Werribee to the VFL grand final, playing 17 games for the Tigers.

However, an ankle issue impacted his pre-season, with Werribee using St Mary’s product Sam Conway as its first-choice ruck.

“That’s going to be pretty exciting for us to have him back after a massive year with Werribee,” coach Darren Winter told K rock Football’s Beyond the Boundary podcast.

“We might see him for a game or two, and then I’d imagine he’ll be back with his duties at Werribee.”
