JORDAN Clark has become Geelong’s third Rising Star nomination for 2019 following a string of impressive performances.

Drafted with pick No.15 from WAFL club Claremont in last year’s National Draft, the 18-year-old joins Charlie Constable (Round 2) and Gryan Miers (Round 8) as nominees.

He posted a career-high 23 touches in Friday night’s win over Adelaide at GMHBA Stadium, while also taking six marks, laying three tackles, and kicking 1.1.

Clark, who has played 13 of a possible 14 games, only missing the Round 6 win over West Coast, is averaging just under 14 possessions and four marks a game.

He has also kicked seven goals.

A talented junior cricketer who represented Australia at underage level, he came to the attention of recruiters with his performances for Western Australian in last year’s under-18 National Championships, resulting in All-Australian selection.

It’s the first time Geelong has received three Rising Star nominations since 2015, and only the second time since the award started in 1993.
