Veteran Geelong defender Jed Bews will extend his career into a 15th season after signing a one-year contract extension.
The Cats confirmed the new deal for the 31-year-old, while also extending the deals of forward Oli Wiltshire and rookie ruck Joe Pike.
Bews, the son of former Geelong captain Andrew, joined the club as a father-son selection in the 2011 National Draft.
He made his debut in 2014 and has made 175 appearances in the Hoops.
However, since featuring in the Cats’ 2022 premiership team, he’s played only 24 AFL matches, including just four this year after an off-field finger injury delayed his start to the season.
Wiltshire joined Geelong in the 2023 National Draft as a mature-age selection from Bellarine club Barwon Heads.
He played consecutive AFL matches in rounds 7 and 8, kicking a goal in the win over Collingwood.
Pike, also a Barwon Heads product, earned a rookie spot after impressing at VFL level in 2024.
He posted a top-10 finish in the Cats’ VFL best-and-fairest this year.
“Jed has been a valuable member of our football program for more than a decade, and we’re pleased to retain his experience on our list for 2026,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“Oli and Joe are taking good steps in their development as AFL-listed footballers, and we’re looking forward to seeing them continue to learn and develop in our program in 2026.”
