Geelong captain Meg McDonald is among three additions to the extended squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Western Bulldogs at Ballarat’s Mars Stadium.
McDonald has made just four appearances in the Hoops this season, and only one (Round 7) after being dropped following the Round 3 loss to Sydney.
The Cats have also included Bella Smith and Bryde O’Rourke for the match-up with the Dogs.
If McDonald plays, it will be her 75th AFLW appearance.
Geelong sits two games and percentage outside of the top eight with two rounds remaining.
The Cats would need to beat the Bulldogs, upset Melbourne in the final round, and have other results go their way.
Geelong will finalise its 21 tomorrow afternoon.
