GEELONG coach Paul Hood is keen to see the attacking mindset his players brought to last week’s loss to Carlton in tomorrow’s match-up with West Coast.
The Cats comfortably posted their highest score of the season – 4.7 (31) – having kicked a combined nine goals from the previous five matches.
Hood says the offensive part of their game was a significant part of their review of the defeat by the Blues.
“It was about showing examples of what we liked, and then trying to grow more of that in the game,” he said.
“This is what we did that work, we liked the mentality behind making it happen, and let’s go and do some more of it.”
AFLW: DOOR CLOSES ON NINA FOR 2021
Geelong, which travelled to Perth on Sunday and will return on a charter flight following Monday’s match, has made one change for the first-ever clash with the Eagles.
Millie Brown will again be sidelined with a hamstring issue, with her spot taken by Georgia Clarke.
Laura Gardiner, who played in the Cats’ VFLW win over Southern Saints, and fellow former Geelong Falcon Carly Remmos are the travelling emergencies.
