A planned closure of the beach between Ocean Grove and Collendina will not go ahead.
Barwon Coast says the beach was due to be temporarily closed as they were expecting several Hooded Plover eggs to hatch.
However the local organisation says the nest has not survived a wave surge, so the closure is not needed.

The Hooden Plover is considered an endangered species.
