A worker has died after being struck by a falling metal bucket at a concrete manufacturer in Werribee on Thursday.
It is believed the 36-year-old man was using a winch to position a mould for casting when the metal bucket, which was holding a length of chain, broke free from the top of a gantry, striking him on the head.
WorkSafe is investigating.

The death is the 29th confirmed workplace fatality for 2024, there were 55 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
