Dragons big man eyes off late season return

Bell Park big man Ollie Bridgewater hasn’t ruled out playing some part in the club’s 2025 campaign as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

The Warrnambool product underwent surgery after suffering the injury during a practice match with reigning VFL premier Werribee in late February.

“I’m moving pretty well now,” Bridgewater told krockfootball.live ahead of the Dragons’ Round 3 loss to St Joseph’s on Saturday.

It’s been about 11 weeks already, and (I’m) hoping to be running in about four weeks’ time.

I’m still hoping to get a few games in towards the end of the year.

“A few people tell me different things, but we’ll see how we go.

“It’s a real touch and go from here.”
