Lawson Humphries has failed to overcome an ankle injury, young ruckman Mitch Edwards is being managed, and small forward Brad Close has been dropped ahead of Geelong’s clash with Adelaide to open Round 13 of the AFL season at Adelaide Oval tomorrow night.

Jack Martin returns after being managed, and Jack Bowes, who will make his 150th AFL appearance, and Oli Wiltshire have been recalled from the VFL.

It means Mark Blicavs is likely to shoulder the majority of the ruck load, with support from Sam De Koning and Shannon Neale.

The Crows have made two changes.

Star Izak Rankine is out with an injury for the hosts, while Riley Thilthorpe is suspended following an incident in the Round 11 win over Hawthorn.

They’ve been replaced by veteran forward Taylor Walker and mid-season draftee Hugo Hall-Kahan, who will make his debut,
