Geelong defender Tom Stewart has succumbed to an ongoing knee injury and won’t play against Collingwood on Saturday night.
The vice-captain wasn’t part of the Cats’ main training session today after aggravating the issue early in the loss to Carlton.
The Cats have made one change, with veteran Mitch Duncan to make his first AFL appearance of the season – game 297 of his career.
Small forward Gryan Miers hasn’t overcome the concussion suffered on Easter Monday and will be sidelined for a second week.
The Magpies have made three changes.
Captain Darcy Moore and forward Lachie Schultz return, and big man Mason Cox has been recalled.
They replace Dan McStay (injured), Jeremy Howe (managed), and Lachie Sullivan.
