Veteran ruck Rhys Stanley will make his first AFL appearance of the season, named for Geelong’s blockbuster clash with Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night.
He replaces youngster Mitch Edwards, who is being managed after stringing together eight consecutive games since debuting against Fremantle in Round 1.
Stanley, who has played 229 games, including 171 in the Hoops, last featured at AFL level in last year’s grand final.
However, Jack Henry, who was a late withdrawal from the win over North Melbourne with a foot issue, and Gryan Miers (knee) weren’t named.
The Pies welcome back Scott Pendlebury, who will play his 432nd match, equalling the record held by North Melbourne great Brent Harvey, defender Jeremy Howe and forward Beau McCreery.
K rock Football is live from 6pm via FM 95.5, FM 88.0 at the MCG, the K rock app, and the AFL app
