Premiership defender Jed Bews and young midfielder George Stevens are among three players delisted by Geelong as it shapes its list ahead of the AFL trade period.
The Cats have also said farewell to rookie Keighton Matofai-Forbes.
Drafted as a father-son selection with pick 86 in 2011, Bews debuted in mid-2014 and made 175 AFL appearances, including the 2022 grand final win over Sydney.
However, he couldn’t add to his games tally in 2026.
“Jed has had a huge impact both on and off the field at Geelong,” football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“As a Geelong person, his influence on our football club and the wider Geelong community has been significant.
“He has been a great teammate who has played countless selfless roles across his career. We thank Jed for everything he has given to the club and wish him the best for his next chapter.”
Stevens joined Geelong via the 2023 National Draft, making his debut against Richmond in late 2025, where he earned two Brownlow Medal votes.
He was delisted at the end of last year but was selected as a rookie.
Stevens, who won the Liston Trophy as VFL best-and-fairest, finished on four AFL games for the Cats.
Matofai-Forbes failed to play a senior match in two years after arriving at Geelong via the 2024 National Draft.
Like Stevens, Matofai-Forbes was delisted at the end of last year and re-rookied.
“We thank George and Keighton for their contribution to our football program,” Mackie said.
“Both players have shown a strong commitment to their development throughout their time at Geelong, and we wish them all the best for the next part of their football journey,” Mackie said.
The delisting of Bews, Stevens and Matofai-Forbes follows Rhys Stanley’s retirement on Monday.
It leaves Jake Kolodjashnij, Mitch Knevitt, Jack Bowes and Jacob Molier as the only Cats without certainty for the 2027 season.
