Geelong’s stunning AFLW home-and-away season has earned it a league-high six players in the All-Australian squad.

Co-captains Nina Morrison and Becky Webster, gun midfielder George Prespakis, and forward trio Jackie Parry, Chloe Scheer and Aishling Moloney have been named in the initial squad of 42.

Morrison, who has twice been in extended squads, Webster, and Parry are chasing their first All-Australian blazers.

Prespakis is a shoo-in for a third selection, while Scheer and Moloney are vying for their second.

For Scheer, her inclusion marks an impressive return after two seasons sidelined by injury.

She finished fifth on the AFLW goalkicking table with 22 majors, while Parry was equal second on 22 and Moloney equal seventh on 17.

Geelong is only the fifth club since the competition expanded to 18 teams in the second of the 2022 seasons to have at least six players in the squad.

The final team will be announced at the W Awards on Monday, November 23.
