Geelong has welcomed home Corey Enright, with the one-time games record-holder rejoining the club’s coaching staff.
Enright has spent the past five seasons at St Kilda, overseeing the Saints’ defence before moving into the role of Head of Gameplan and Strategy.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have worked alongside so many high-calibre coaches, players and staff during my five seasons at St Kilda,” Enright said.
“While this was a difficult decision, I believe the time is right for my next professional challenge and the opportunity to continue to develop my coaching philosophy.”
Affectionately known as ‘Boris’, Enright played 332 games for the Cats before retiring at the end of the 2017 season following a career that yielded three premierships, six All-Australian selections, and two Carji Greeves Medals as club best-and-fairest.
He transitioned straight into coaching, starting in Geelong’s development program before becoming an assistant coach.
“We’re excited to have Corey return to the club and join our experienced coaching group,” Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“Over the past five years, Corey has continued to develop and broaden his coaching experience across a range of roles.
“He has a proven ability to build strong relationships, along with an outstanding understanding of the game.
“We look forward to the impact Corey will have on our football program as we turn our attention to 2027.”
