AFLW At Selection – Round 4

EXPERIENCED defender Anna Teague and key forward Kate Darby will play their first AFLW matches of the season after being named in the Geelong team for Saturday’s clash with Richmond at Bendigo’s QE Oval.

Teague has been sidelined with a quad injury suffered before Round 1 but played part of last week’s VFLW practice match against Williamstown.

Darby was prominent against the Seagulls and replaces Maddy Boyd, who has been dropped after just one match.

Young ruck Rene Caris has also been omitted, which will see veteran Aasta O’Connor shoulder much of the ruck responsibility.
