GEELONG expects Cam Guthrie to be right, while Jake Kolodjashnij will be closely monitored after both failed to see out Saturday’s final-round win over West Coast at GMHBA Stadium.

Guthrie suffered a knock to his shoulder joint in a collision with teammate Patrick Dangerfield, while Kolodjashnij  suffered his second concussion of the season after landing awkwardly in a marking contest during the first quarter.

“Cameron was taken off the field as a precautionary measure and we expect him to be available for selection for the first final,” the Cats head of medical and conditioning services Harry Taylor said.

CATS: STAR FIVE IN ALL-AUSTRALIAN CONTENTION

Star forward Jeremy Cameron (hamstring), ruck Rhys Stanley (adductor) and half-back Mitch Duncan (hip) are all expected to be available to take on Collingwood in the qualifying final.

Sam Menegola, who has battled knee problems over the past 12 months, was a late withdrawal from the clash with the Eagles.

“The decision was made to manage Sam for the game vs. West Coast Eagles to give him every opportunity leading into the first final,” Taylor said.
