ANOTHER solid performance in Geelong’s 24-point win over North Melbourne has been enough for Gryan Miers to claim the AFL’s Rising Star nomination for Round 8.
Miers, who the Cats selected with pick No.57 in the 2017 National Draft from the Geelong Falcons, gathered 22 possessions, took eight marks and kicked a goal in the clash at Marvel Stadium.
The Grovedale product is averaging 17 disposals, five marks and two tackles, and has kicked 10 goals in eight games since making his debut in Round 1 this year.

Grovedale will receive $2500 as part of a club recognition award from Rising Star sponsor NAB.
