A dynamic performance in Geelong’s eight-point win over St Kilda has earned Ollie Dempsey the AFL’s Rising Star nomination for Round 1.
In just his eighth match, Dempsey kicked a game-high three goals from 15 disposals and seven marks.
The 21-year-old also had nine score involvements and two goal assists.

A talented junior basketballer, Dempsey was selected with pick 13 in the 2022 Rookie Draft from Old Carey.
He is Geelong’s first Rising Star nomination since Sam De Koning in Round 11, 2022.
